WARNING
Section titled “WARNING”Improper handling may result in death or serious injury.
Abnormal Conditions, Power, and Disassembly
Section titled “Abnormal Conditions, Power, and Disassembly”- If you notice smoke, an unusual odor, excessive heat, unusual noise, or any other abnormal condition, stop using the product immediately and disconnect all connected cables.
- Do not expose the product to water or other liquids, or handle it with wet hands.
- Do not disassemble, modify, or repair this product. Doing so may cause malfunction, electric shock, overheating, or fire. The sensors are adjusted during manufacturing; disassembly may also affect their calibration and prevent the product from operating correctly.
- Do not insert metal fragments or other foreign objects into the USB port or other connectors.
- Do not supply power by any method other than the specified method.
- Do not use the product if a cable or connector is damaged.
- Do not use or store the product near flames, in hot locations, or in direct sunlight.
Sensors (Invisible Infrared Laser)
Section titled “Sensors (Invisible Infrared Laser)”This product incorporates Time-of-Flight (ToF) optical ranging sensors that use invisible infrared laser light to detect finger positions. The laser output of the installed sensors meets the Class 1 safety requirements specified in IEC 60825-1:2014 (third edition).
- The laser light is invisible. During operation, do not intentionally look into the sensor emitter or view it through optical instruments such as lenses, magnifiers, or microscopes.
- Do not use the product if a sensor or its transparent cover is damaged. Stop using the product immediately and disconnect all connected cables.
- Do not remove or alter the sensors or transparent cover. Doing so may compromise laser safety.
Magnets and Magnetic Connectors
Section titled “Magnets and Magnetic Connectors”This product has connectors that use magnets.
- If you use a medical device that may be affected by magnets, follow the precautions and safe distances specified by the medical device manufacturer.
- Do not allow clips, screws, tools, or other metal objects to touch the contacts of the magnetic connectors. A short circuit between contacts may cause malfunction or overheating.
- Check that no metal objects are attached to the magnetic connector contacts, even when the product is not in use.
- If metal fragments or other foreign objects become attached to a connector, disconnect the power supply and cables before removing them. Remove the objects before using the product.
- Avoid bringing devices affected by magnetism, magnetic cards, or magnetic recording media close to the product.

Connections and Cables
Section titled “Connections and Cables”- Before connecting this product, also read the manuals for the equipment you will connect.
- Check the connector type and orientation before making a connection.
- Before connecting a magnetic connector, check that its contacts are free of metal fragments and foreign objects.
- Hold the connector when connecting or disconnecting a cable. Do not pull on the cable itself.
- Do not force a connector into a port in the wrong orientation.
- Do not apply excessive force to cables, bend them sharply, or place heavy objects on them.
- To prevent unexpected behavior of connected equipment when connecting or disconnecting this product, lower the volume, stop playing, or take other appropriate steps as needed.
- Do not force incompatible equipment or cables to connect to this product.
Operating and Storage Environment
Section titled “Operating and Storage Environment”- Do not use or store the product in unstable locations, locations subject to frequent vibration, or dusty locations.
- Do not use the product while condensation is present. After moving it to a location with a large temperature difference, allow it to adjust fully to room temperature before use.
Handling the Sensors and Transparent Cover
Section titled “Handling the Sensors and Transparent Cover”- Do not apply strong pressure to the sensors or their transparent cover, strike them with hard objects, or scratch them.
- Dirt, dust, or fingerprints on the transparent cover in front of the sensors may prevent accurate detection.
- If detection becomes unstable, check the transparent cover in front of the sensors for dirt or foreign objects.
- Do not cover the front of the sensors with stickers, tape, or other objects. Doing so may prevent normal detection.
Cleaning and Care
